The organization of such a huge, multifaceted event as the Tall Ships' Races Szczecin 2007  certainly has its engineers: we wish to thank the following group of people for their committment, continuous hard work and support for the Hearts of Darkness, the Sixth International Conference of the Melville Society organized jointly with the Joseph Conrad Society.

  • Marcin Raciborski, Open Ocean Merchant Master  - The Head of the Office,  responsible for coordination of the actions of the whole team as well as for the preparation of the Szczecin Harbor for the visit of the tall ships.
  • Jerzy Raducha - responsible for the infrastructure of the event, as well as its financing, program for the crews and Conference Participants, media.
  • Mira Urbaniak  - renowned maritime journalist, a sea-going lady, the person who first invited us to Szczecin, responsible the program for the crews and Conference Participants and for contacts with the media.
  • MiĹ‚osz Kaczanowski - responsible for official publications, program for the crews and Conference Participants
  • Katarzyna KozĹ‚owska - responsible for secretarial duties, the "invisible," yet overworked, indispensable coordinator of actions
  • Krzysztof Kawka - our foremost man at the Office: responsible for information, marketing, PR and editor of the Tall Ships Szczecin 2007 section of this service.
